Rock music enthusiasts are going to really dig Crossroad Café – Rock bar. It is definitely a Nimman secret – a hidden gem that has an ultra-cool vibe. Tucked away behind Wawee Coffee on Nimmanhaemin Road, Soi 6.
Two bands light up the small stage every evening starting at 9:30 p.m. Arrive before 8:30 p.m. if you want a prime seat inside as it is rather small and only holds about 40 people. There are plenty of seats outside but the best place to be is close to the band.
Crossroad’s definitely selects the best rock bands in Chiang Mai to play at their small venue. The music is always first class with local Thai rock bands banging out all the classics like ACDC, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Black Sabbath. The crowd quickly gets involved and everyone rocks out which is a little unusual for the local folks at bars in Chiang Mai.
Large local beers are good value at 90-100 baht or you can grab a bottle of Sang Som at basically 7-11 prices. Otherwise you can splurge out on a large bottle of Jack Daniels for 1,500 baht and really make a party of it. Crossroad Café also serves local Thai cuisine at very reasonable prices.
Crossroad’s has it all for Rock fans – friendly staff, reasonable prices, awesome vibe and talented bands. Highly recommended for people who want to Rock the night out.
